Phrase Builder: five new words inside one phrase
Meet five useful words, hear them in one phrase, then solve mixed challenges that bring the whole phrase together.
How a lesson goes
One phrase, five words, about three minutes
Phrase Builder is the only MemDecks game that teaches words you do not know yet. Every other game practises words you already have.

Meet the words
Each of the five words arrives with a picture, its audio and, for a non-Latin script, a transliteration.
- 02
Hear the phrase
The five words are spoken together in one natural phrase, so you hear them doing a job.
- 03
Rebuild it
Mixed challenges ask you to recognise the words and put the phrase back together from its pieces.
- 04
Keep the words
Finishing the lesson saves all five words to your collection as cards the other games can use.

Do I need an account to play Phrase Builder?

Do I need to add words first?

Is Phrase Builder free?
Yes. MemDecks is free and has no paid tier.
Which languages does Phrase Builder teach?
Nine as of today: Armenian, Greek, Russian, Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, German, French and Italian. All of them are taught from English.
